Today we were in La Romona,  Dominican Republic. We left Aruba yesterday afternoon and the ship sailed all night and this morning to get us here by 11 am. I have to say, the seas were a little rough as I was "rocked" to sleep last night. It was funny watching everyone walk around like they were drunk because of the movement of the ship. I am glad that neither my sister nor I get seasick.  La Romona is a fairly new port of call. As such, if you are the type of person who likes to get off the boat and just walk around, then there isn't much to do here. What is here is a very nice pool and lots of chairs for sunbathing. It feels like a private island. There are some booths with locals selling stuff, so you can pick up a souvenir if you want. We had a great day in the sun and pool. Tomorrow we are in Amber Cove (Puerta Plata). I have been there before and I like it. Cheers for now.

The food was good but the big attaction was the Scorpion Shot. This is a shot of Tequila with a Scorpion in it. If you drink the shot and swallowed the scorpion in one drink then they gave you a shirt and bragging rights. There were a lot of people there doing it. It took a lot of talking, but Kayla finally agreed too try it with me. I am proud to say that we both completed the drin...
