 So the audit has begun. I spent most of the day in a conference room going over the proposal team's numbers. I was surprised how deep they went into the numbers. I had to account for every last penny. They did try to raise an issue about our team building event we are having this Friday. They questioned why it was for the employees and their families. I finally shut them up when I pointed out that the sales team was paying. They took notes but stopped pressing the issue. I felt drained when I finally got out of that meeting. The best part is I get to do it again on Thursday.

When I got home, I called Lee and we talked. Sadly, he told me that he could not go to dinner with me on Valentine's Day. He said he has to work late. I told him that he could come over after work, regardless of how late, but he said he was going to sleep at the office as it was probably going to be an all-nighter. I am bummed but I understand. He said he was going to make it up to me on Friday night, but I told him that I couldn't do Friday night as I have a work thing that night and I am flying out to New York on Saturday. Sometimes life does not cooperate with your love life.
