Diary: 2024-03-08

 

 

 Tonight was dinner with Lee. We went to a very fancy place where we dined on pasta and bread and tiramisu. We managed to drink 3 bottles of wine during dinner. We sat, talked and drank for hours at the restaurant. When the check came, it was for over $200. I offered to pay for the bill since he had paid for all prior meals. When he said no, I then insisted that I should pay at least half since it was so much, but again he refused. He said he could afford it. I was not happy as I still feel it was to much for him to pay, but I thanked them. After the meal, we went for a drive. It was a nice, clear night. I was surprised at how many houses still have up their Christmas lights.

After the drive, we headed back to my place. I wanted to go to his place, but he said that it was a mess and he would be embarrassed if I saw it. As we lay there in bed, cuddling, he brought up the idea of leaving some stuff at my place since he is spending the night more often now. After thinking about it, I told him that I needed to spend the night at his place first because if he is going to leave a toothbrush here, then I would want to leave a toothbrush at his place. He didn't seem please but then smiled and said, Okay, we will make that happen. After that, we cuddled and fell fast asleep.
